FRIDLEY, Minn. - The Martin Luther College men's tennis team opened the UMAC season with a 9-0 sweep of North Central at Lifetime Fitness Center on Thursday.
The Knights dominated the match, allowing the Rams to win only one game in the course of three doubles and six singles matches.
MLC won all three doubles matches by the scores of 8-0 to take an early 3-0 lead.

Justin Steinke,
Josh Koelpin,
Joel Koelpin,
Nicolas Gartner and
Josh Schroeder each won their matches 6-0, 6-0.
Ethan Schultz won his number three singles match 6-0, 6-1.
MLC improved to 2-4 on the season and 1-0 in UMAC play with the win. NCU fell to 0-6 overall and 0-2 in league play in defeat.
The Knights are scheduled to return to action on April 10 at Minnesota Morris in a match scheduled to start at 3 p.m.
