Emily Witkowski Named Honorable Mention All-UMAC

NEW ULM, Minn. - Sophomore wing Emily Witkowski was named Honorable Mention All-UMAC in women's basketball on Monday by the conference. 

Witkowski finished the season as the Knights' leading scorer with an average of 13.0 points per game.

During UMAC play, Witkowski bumped that scoring average to 14.6 points per game, good for eighth in the conference. She also ranked second in minutes per game (32.8) and sixth in three-point field goals (29) during league play while averaging a team-best 5.6 rebounds per game.

Witkowski scored in double figures 11 times during UMAC games, and also registered four of her five 20-point games against league foes. Witkowski closed the season strong with a career-high 27 points in the team's win at Crown College in the final week. 

Senior Sarah Dewey was named the MLC recipient of the Sportsmanship Award, given to one player on each team who best exemplifies sportsmanship during the season.
