RESULTS

MORRIS, Minn. - The Martin Luther College men's track and field team took home six first-place finishes in a strong performance at Minnesota Morris on Saturday.

Caleb Foelske led the charge for the Knights in the throwing events, taking first in the Discus (42.52 meters), second in the Shot Put (14.48 meters) and Javelin (45.52 meters), and eighth in the Hammer Throw (39.42 meters). Foelske's throws in the Shot Put and Hammer Throw set new MLC records in those events, while he already holds the school mark in the Discus.

The Knights won both of the sprinting events, as Carson Oestreich took the 100 Meters with a time of 11.19, while Jon Holtz won the 200 Meters with a time of 23.95. Lucas Martin (11.73) finished second in the 100 Meters, and Matthew Hillmer (24.81) took third in the 200 Meters.

MLC also won the 4x100 Meter Relay, as the team of Oestreich, Martin, Holtz and Hillmer finished in a time of 44.61.

Elsewhere on the track, Nathan Pausma, Luke Wegner, Josiah Loersch, Micah Schibbelhut and Joshua Zander each finished in the top seven in the 800 Meters, while Zander and Pausma also took third and seventh, respectively, in the 1500 Meters.

In the jumping events, Eric Raasch (6.23 meters) and Joseph Ehlke (5.84 meters) took the top two places in the Long Jump, with Jonas Landwehr (5.5 meters) taking fourth. Benjamin Hillmer and Schibbelhut tied for first in the Pole Vault with a top jump of 2.8 meters. Seth Veers took third place in the Triple Jump with a top jump of 12.05 meters, while Martin finished fifth in the High Jump with a jump of 1.65 meters.
