Mankato, MN - On Saturday, the MLC women's outdoor track and field team competed in the Minnesota State Open against tough D-II and D-III schools. The Knights took
seventh (14 points) and were the top finishing UMAC school at the meet.
Madelinn Romsdahl performed well in multiple throwing events, including a PR throw of 31.36 meters that put her in 11th and a season-best mark of 35.75 meters in the shot put. Romsdahl also placed 19th in the shot put (10.74 meters).
Emma Dorn earned a top-10 finish in the 400-meter hurdles (1:11.82), while the 4x400m relay team took second with a season-best time of 4:21.61 (
Mariah Schultz, Naomi Foley, Hannah Rodmyre, and Dorn.
MLC women's outdoor track and field will next compete at a meet hosted by Gustavus on Wednesday, April 16, at 3 p.m.
