St. Paul, MN - The MLC women's tennis team was voted to finish fourth in the UMAC Women's Tennis Preseason Poll, officially announced on Wednesday.
The Knights earned 12 points. The polls were voted on by all the head coaches in each respective division. Coaches cannot vote for their own team.Â
MLC brings back senior No. 1 player,Â
Britney Prahl, who was named First Team All-Conference (2024) and Second Team All-Conference as a junior in 2025. A pair of upperclassmen return in juniors
Katie Schoeneck and
Emily Gronholz, in addition to Prahl. Schoeneck led MLC with eight singles wins, while Gronholz secured six singles victories.

The top two teams in each division at the close of the regular season will compete in the UMAC Tournament,, with the semifinals scheduled for Friday, May 1 and the championship slated for Saturday, May 2. The tournament champion will receive the UMAC's automatic qualifying bid to the 2026 NCAA DIII Women's Tennis Championship to compete in the national tournament.
