Box Score Mount Vernon, Iowa - The MLC men's tennis team made the trip to Iowa and played in a couple of matches against Cornell College and Loras College. The Knights fell 7-1 in the first match in the morning to the Rams of Cornell and lost 7-0 to the Duhawks.

Cornell 7, MLC 1

In the first match, Cornell took all three doubles matches 6-3. The Knights made it competitive in five of their six singles matchups. Abraham Schlomer produced the lone point of the match for MLC, beating his opponent 2-6, 6-1, (10-7) in No. 6 singles.

Gideon Heins came up close in No. 3 singles 7-6 (7-4), 3-6, (7-10), while Matthew Koelpin took his No. 5 singles to a 5-7, 5-7 defeat. Eli Stern also played hard in his No. 2 singles loss 5-7, 4-6.

Loras 7, MLC 0

The Duhawks of Loras swept MLC in the second match of the day. Johannes Bourman in the No. 1 match 4-6, 3-6 and Koelpin took his to a tiebreaker before falling 4-6, 7-6, 0-1
