Mankato, MN - The MLC men's and women's Indoor Track and Field teams competed at the Maverick Open hosted by Minnesota State on Friday evening. It is the final meet before the Knights will be set to compete in the UMAC Indoor Championship next weekend (February 27-28).
Samuel Plocher hit a season-best mark in the High Jump at 2.02 meters, which put him tied for second in the event against tough competition. Plocher also participated in the triple jump, reaching 13.07 meters for fifth place.
R.J. Perry took fifth in the weight throw with a PR throw of 15.50 meters, giving him the new MLC Indoor record, and placed sixth in the shot put with a mark of 15.67 meters.
Jemimah Habben ran the mile in a time of 5:19.84, which was good enough for fourth in the race out of 27 runners.
Ella Schlei also placed fourth in the High Jump with a mark of 1.49 meters.
Meanwhile,
Elise Nolte had a season-best throw in the shot put of 11.58 meters.
