Box Score MINNEAPOLIS - Women's soccer exploded offensively once again on Saturday evening, beating North Central 4-0 to earn its first UMAC win of the season.

The Knights got a big performance from junior defender Ella Ristow, who scored twice off of corner kicks. Her first goal came in the 7th minute to give MLC an early lead. She also scored the third goal of the match in the 67th minute.

Reigning UMAC player of the week Katie Schoeneck assisted both goals, providing excellent corner kicks. Schoeneck also added a goal of her own in the 50th minute on a powerful blast from about 25 yards away.

Freshman Allison Olson scored the final goal of the match, her team-leading fifth goal of the year.

"Our defense and midfield played very well today," coach Tyson Zarnstorff said. "We created many chances and shut down their offense."

Fellow freshman Reese Krause Staebell got her first career start in goal and made a pair of saves on her way to the shutout.

"Reese had two excellent saves in her first career start," Zarnstorff said.
