NEW ULM, Minn. - Friday's women's basketball game between MLC and Minnesota Morris has been named this week'd UMAC Game of the Week.

The two teams have developed a rivalry in recent years, and have met four times in the UMAC Postseason Tournament in the last six seasons. Each team has come away with two wins in that stretch, including a 67-66 MLC win last season at UMM thanks to a late basketball by Jade St. Germaine.

This season, the Cougars sit second in the UMAC with a 8-1 conference record and 13-5 overall mark. Included in that record is a win over MLC on Janary 10 by the score of 65-52. The Cougars led by two at the half in that contest, but took control with a big run in the third quarter to put the game out of reach.

MLC currently ranks fifth in the conference standings with a 4-5 UMAC record. The Knights are looking to stop a two-game conference losing streak following losses at Northwestern and Bethany Lutheran in the last two weeks.
