Box Score SUPERIOR, Wis. - The Martin Luther College women's basketball team was unable to keep pace with two-time defending UMAC Champions UW-Superior in an 87-39 loss on Saturday.
The Yellowjackets were trouble for the MLC offense throughout the game as they held the Knights to 21.8 percent from the field and also forced 28 MLC turnovers (leading to 33 UWS points on the other end).
UWS jumped on top from the start, winning the first quarter 24-11 before building the lead the next three quarters on the way to the win.
Grace Schultz led MLC with 11 points and seven rebounds.
Sydney Cody added seven points off the bench for MLC.
The Knights fell to 4-8 overall and 2-2 in UMAC play in defeat. UWS improved to 8-2 this season and 4-0 in UMAC play with the win.
MLC will return to action in the new year when it hosts St. Scholastica in a game on January 3. That game is scheduled to tip off at 7:30 p.m.
