Hutchinson, MN - The Martin Luther College men's golf team earned fifth place at the Viking Invite on Friday. The Knights shot 346 (+62), while the Crown Polars took first in the match with 311 strokes and North Central received second (321).
Sam Hansen had another solid performance on the green with his score of 78 and finished in a tie for fifth with several other golfers. Alongside Hansen, freshman
John Martin shot a season and career best of 79, earning him a tie in 11th place out of the 43 golfers in the competition.Â
Noah Walta finished 20th in the match and shot an 85, while
Jacob Bigelow claimed 25th for his score of 88.

The men's golf squad will look to better their scores and edge out the fellow UMAC schools when they host the MLC Fall Invitational at the Oakdale Golf Course in Buffalo Lake, MN. Tee time is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 30.
