Frick Shoots a 77 as Knights Host MLC Invitational

New Ulm, MN - The Martin Luther College golf teams hosted the Knights Spring Invitational at the New Ulm Country Club on Thursday. All eight UMAC schools competed in the match, with the men taking fourth overall (332) and the women earning fifth (460). There was also the MLC men's B team that shot 360 on the day.

Men

Paul Frick led the men's team and the senior finished in a fifth-place tie after shooting a 77 in 18 holes. Freshman John Martin was right behind Frick and shot a 78 that put him in an eight-place tie.

Austin Schwab finished in a T-19th (83) and had the lowest score for the MLC B team. Meanwhile, Noah Walta tied in the 25th spot out of 49 golfers on the green, after the freshman finished in 85 strokes.

Women

Olivia Klabunde had the lowest 18-hole score for the Knights and claimed a T-15th after completing the course in 103 strokes, while AC Iglesias shot a 107 that put her in a T-22.

MLC golf completes their spring season at the Eagle Creek golf course in Willmar, MN on Monday, April 29. There, the Knights take on Minnesota Morris with a tee time of 1 p.m.
